Meet An Auction Buyer Agent

As a general rule, it is wise for consumers to comparison shop at least three providers before contracting for a service. We suggest you use our Interviewing Tips to evaluate any agent. We will use them in making a referral. Tip 9 recognizes that you have the last word and will be the only face-to-face judge of a referred agent. Agents are recommended for your consideration because:

  1. They have scored at least 80% on the test in the back of How To Buy Your Home At Auction and have earned our R.E.A.B.A. designation. As such, they are among a small minority of the agent population who promote a service of real estate auction buyer agency.
     

  2. They have interviewed well by phone and assert the following about themselves:

    • They are currently licensed as an active Broker or Salesperson in a state(s).

    • They have no pending complaints against them and are in good standing with Real Estate Commissions that have issued them a license.

    • They have closed at least 20 transactions as a buyer agent or they are a practicing auctioneer licensed to sell real estate.
